Egyptians try to be polite to the best of their knowledge.
However, a fact is that different behaviors is looked upon differently for different cultures. So, what seems polite to your may not seem so to me, etc.
So, giving up your seat for a lady in a bus is considered polite here, however, kissing her hand when first meeting her in party is not.
