Even if a car parking area is not marked by bold white lines, and there is enough space to park the Titanic, people feel the need to park six inches from my pristine but delicate bodywork.... I will go to extraordinary lengths in order to provide my car with it's very own no-mans (or womans) land, a sacred boundary of scratch and dent free space..... So, are you the culprit....?

Not guilty.

But I have discovered the answer to the problem. When going to town I take my 4x4 which has tree-sliders fitted -- heavy galvanised steel bars which look a bit like scaffolding poles and project a little beyond the body to deflect any trees -- or the car doors of idiots who like to slam their doors into the bodywork of other vehicles. As a result, very few people will park anywhere near me. Often they'll drive away when I park in an adjacent bay.

Do you own the parking space in no where land? I hope your not one of those people that parks his car out in no where land on an angle sometimes taking up two or three spots. If you are that enamored with your car why would you take it to a public parking lot. I have a 1969 Boss 302 Mustang and I would never take it to a public parking lot. Since you are probably an obsessive/compulsive person your best bet is to buy an old junker to drive when you go shopping or take a taxi, and leave your vehicle with the pristine delicate paint job at home. The bottom line is most people really don't care too much about their cars and are not normally in tune with those who are, so opening their door and putting a ding in your car means absolutely nothing to them. If you insist on taking your baby to the public lot get yourself a heavy car cover which may help in preventing small scratches and dings. As far as the answer from rab. Take up two parking spaces in a parking lot and your asking for trouble. If the lot fill ups (and I've seen this happen) and no spots are left you run the risk of having your baby towed.

I am not the culprit but I have the same problem. My car is nothing special, no alloys or fab paintwork but I love my car, I have had her since the day I passed my driving test, shes been a fantastic first car and I hate it when people park so dam close. I have had people open their car doors and dent mine. I really think its time to get a brand new car with the fab paintwork and the alloys etc but I am a bit reluctant when idiots can't keep there distance!!

you would no longer comprehend one yet another yet when both easily one of you by coincidence hits or scratches the different's vehicle, you'll meet her in a unfavorable basic and that isn't any longer continually conducive for good relationships between associates, both. climate-allowing, you would go away a effective note on her window, lower than her wipers and purely ask her if she would please concepts leaving somewhat extra room so that you'll park and then thank her for the courtesy and note what takes position. If parking is somewhat constrained the position you stay, then you would favor to frame of mind the owner and ask him/her if there'll be extra parking areas contained in the destiny, or something to that result.

We park so close to your car, so that we can be close enough to admire your beautiful car when we walk past it. After all, if we park far away, we would not be able to get a good look at it.

Don't be bothered, it is a compliment to you and your car, that we park so close.

I park my car so close to yours to prove that I am not fat! Also it is a test of your reversing skills to see if you can get out of the space without scratching my car.
