Memphis, Thebes, Akhmim, Dendera, Abydos, and of course Elephantine, which is an island in the middle of the Nile! Elephantine wass at the traditional southern boarder of ancient Egypt is around modern Aswan. The name comes from Greek because the island looks like the shape of an elephant.
