Everyone knows what number 24 can do but his side kick L.O. is playing like a monster this year Odom looks like an allstar so far. And I know Both K.B. And L.O. hate to hear the comparisions but they are playing like Two guys who use to play in Chicago who they are compared too all the time Jordan and Pippen. Can Odom continue to play like this you know Kobe will but if L.O. keeps playing like this I think this Laker team could upset the Spurs,Mavs,Rockets,Suns or the Jazz those are the top teams I see in the west but this Laker team can be a sleeper what do you think?

I can see those two continue to play at a high level as they are now. Kobe hogged the ball too much last year, any true Lakers fan will admit that. But he was kind-of forced to do it b/c everyone was still learning the Triangle offense last year and the offense broke down more often than not forcing him to take more shots during those moments. This year, for those who watched the games and Phil Jackson's comments, Kobe is more comfortable with his teammates knowing the offense and don't need to do as much. That's why Luke and Lamar is doing well, b/c everyone is now running the offense.
Will Kobe still take alot of shots? Sure, he is the star of the team and his teammates look for him to shoot it, specially in critical moments...but the the difference, he is taking shots through the offense and he actually passed off a few bad shots he normally would have taken and swung the ball around.
Would this continue? Yes, because more than anything from last year, specially in the Suns series, Kobe wants to win more badly than get stats this year....he already won a scoring title...now he has to win a title without Shaq and prove his critiques wrong, and he knows the only way to do it is to listen to Phil Jackson...Michael Jordan did, look where it got him.

Forget the haters ,Kobe has changed.....he had to. He still could pass the ball a little more ,but he has improved quite a bit. Lamar is looking great ,so is Bynum and Walton.If Kobe keeps taking the role where he is a genuine leader and makes everyone else play better ,then there is no reason why they cant take it all the way. Could they win it.......i wish they could ,they keep playing like this ,improve defense,next year..........i want to see it!!

no they cant, i have decussed this already, kobe is too much of a me first type player, he thinks that having a scoring title is more important, than winning a championship, when he came into the league the lakers squad was already established, so all he had to do is play his role, now since he is the go to man he dont have to pass the ball, and that is going to be his undoing, and eventually his downfall.
