i get migraines about twice a month and i have used both relpax and imitrex.
the relpax works great but it also knocks me out so i try only to use it when a migraine hits and i know i can sleep. i wake up with the headache completely gone and i feel rested.
i take the imitrex during my work hours or when i'm not able to sleep-it works great too but being able to sleep helps the best.
the key is to find a medication that is specifically made for migraines only-demerol is a powerful pain medication (a narcotic) and is used for several causes of severe pain.
check with your dr about getting a prescribed migraine medication

I had an epidural with my son and after I got the worst headaches ever and ended up being readmitted for about 2 days and still went home to experience them for a while. They said the epidural put air pockets all around my brain, sounded weird but maybe you should see your doctor
