I say: let them compete if they want to. I prefer a more comfortable existence. But I will defend my territory if need be.

Come on, what kind of a question is this.
Life is not a competition, or anything else. we can talk only about competition when you want to complete something. If you want to be succesful, rich, faimous, then, it's a kind of a competiton.
Life means to be yourself. To see heaven and hell, to see all the beauty what this life is giving us.
If you want to live, you can just sit down and enjoy the pleasures of life. You don't need to do anything. Just sit, and be quiet.
The law that the strongest survives, is the law of the jungle, that doesn't mean anything.....

Life is not a competition. It is a page in a book where you have the opportunity of leaving your mark. Everyone leaves a reminder of where they have been. Unfortunately too many of us do not realise until too late that we have left a lot of bad marks on our page.
