Romance - Dolls (Japanese) or maybe Pakeezah (Hindi) or even A Chinese Ghost Story (Mandarin)

Horror - Ringu (Japanese) and also 'Whispering Corridors (Korean)
Teenage - Maybe the Japanese film 'All About Lily Chou Chou' can be classed has a teenage film
War - 'Das Boot' (German) Hotaru no haka (Japanese animated film)
Action - Battle Royale (Japanese)
Adventure - Kikujiro (Japanese)
Crime/Gangster - Hana-bi (Japanese) Maybe not the traditional type of crime/gangster film so maybe I should also put in 'Ichi the Killer (Japanese) I like the dark humour in that film.

Western - None..do not enjoy Westerns
Disney - Again, None, do not like Disney. But my daughter does. She is especially fond of Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Mulan and The Little Mermaid etc. Basically any of the Princess type films. Personally I am a fan of Hayao Miyazaki.
