Hey pal ,listen dont worry. Just be proud of yourself and the way you look. Even I am very skinny and tall and earlier I used to feel self-conscious even when I am just walking in through a lobby. But not now. Now I have learnt that if you learn to be comfortable with yourself and dont bother about things like being too tall or skinny, even other people will stop bothering about them. If someone teases you just laugh it off.Eventually they'll stop and start respecting you.
Just remember what you think, you are.
God Bless, Take care.

There's nothing wrong with being skinny. Anyone who has a problem with it is probably overweight and in denial or jealous.
I know because I used to be kinda chubby and used to say slim people were "anorexic" or "too skinny". I really did think so. I'd always been a normal-sized kid so when I gained a lot of weight as a young adult, I kept thinking of myself as normal because the weight gain wasn't sudden. So I measured others by how I saw myself in the mirror. Now that I shed all those extra pounds I realize that being thinner feels much better.
If you're skinny, you have a higher life expectancy, can run or walk for longer without getting tired or out of breath, don't get as hot during the summer, are more photogenic, and don't feel gross from having disgusting folds on your stomach when you sit down.

If you're not starving yourself, and you're not overeating, that's fine. It's the unhealthy physcial acts that cause problems. Some people can't help that they are thin, and some people can't help they are heavy. I'm on the other end of the scale slightly and am always labeled, but people tell me I eat like a bird and I always exersize so that can't figure out why I'm heavy. I have PCOD and an underactive thyroid which prevents me from losing weight. Until I have medical insurance can't do anything about it.
So, you're fine, as long as you like the way you look and you're not killing yourself by starving.

I have always been thin and find that many people are bothered by this fact. I think the ones who are bothered by it are folks who have had weight problems. Call it jealousy or envy but it has nothing to do with you. If you're eating healthy and are just naturally thin enjoy it and try to ignore the negative comments.

It generally only bothers women. There's nothing wrong with being skinny if you keep healthy and fit (eat a regular diet and get exercise), but many women go to extremes to be skinny. By extremes I mean they start barfing after their meals to keep their weight down (bulemia), or they just flat out think they're really fat and refuse to eat until they're completely malnourished and look like twigs (but they still think they're fat...anorexia).
If you're talking in terms of outward appearances in general, there's also nothing wrong with being skinny. Many guys are lanky and are totally fine with it, as long as you like being in your own skin. I personally like skinny men. Some people think men should be bulky and have muscle mass, but if you're happy with it, there's no need to be bothered by what they think (although they're probably opposed to being "skinny" because of the stigma around it).

Nothing, if you have a healthy lifestyle and if you eat. You probably have an ectomorphic body type. People like this are usually called "naturally skinny". They have lean linear bodies, low body fat percentages, and fast metabolisms. They can eat the world and not put on a pound. Ectomorphs sometimes have a hard time gaining weight.

There's nothing wrong with being skinny. Everyone will always talk about SOMETHING, right? Whether it's your butt being too big, too small, flat, too high, too low, or you nose being too big or bony or WHATEVER.. people talk. They just do. As long as you're happy with yourself, that's the most important. Who gives a flying fig what other people think? You live for yourself, not for other people. My butt is classified as being too big. But hey, I work it, and I love my butt. If i love it, and I'm confident, then other people are just drawn to that, I think (not my butt, lol, my confidence.). I'm not perfect but then again..who is? We're all classified as something. People do that, put us into little boxes, so they can call each other something. Everyone's always got something they'd change, because I think society is not taught that it's ok to just LIKE yourself (not you, I mean in general). And it's so important to like yourself and be comfortable in your own skin. If you don't like yourself, no one will. There's something special about each one of us, and I know that everyone can find confidence inside themselves if they just try. Don't care if people call you skinny or whatever they call you.. just smile and nod (and sing a lil' song in your head in the meantime :o)

ok i think people generally think thin people have an eating disorder or something.i think people should be happy 4 you if you are happy with yourself.some people are just naturally skinny (like me and you ) and there's nothing we can do about it -we can only accept ourselves as the wonderful people we are!others shouldn't judge us just because of outer appearance because sometimes there is nothing we can do.besides its not about beauty ,its about personality !i applaud you for asking this question because it is something i struggle with at school.i get asked if i'm anorexic and sometimes people just assume that i have an eating disorder.
dont live life trying to change what you cannot
accept yourself and others for who they are on the inside!

I'm skinny too. I have trouble keeping my weight up. Even been accused (wrongfully) of bulemia. I eat like you would never believe. We are talking chocolate covered bacon, okay...nothing.
People shouldn't pick on fat people so much either. Just worry about yourself and maybe close friends and family.
But hey, if it someone calling me skinny means free food..."Well, I am Emaciated, nice to meet you!"
