you should be able to unplug any other USB device and plug the camera in. This shouldn't cause any problems and any problems you do encounter can be solved by restarting the PC.

U.S.B.Hub buy it in any computer shop plugs into computer one end and has upto four extra ports like a multi plug for a plug socket.
