Shouty?? Is this word you invented all on your own or did your 'friend' help you. I dont think we yorkshire people are loud just friendly. We know who our neighbours are we will say morning to people we pass in the street. Loudness or friendly. Id say friendly.
Thanks

It's the wide open spaces of the Yorkshire Moors and the noise of the industrial towns! They are either too far apart or the environment is too loud that they have to shout!
Either that or your Yorkshire people are as deaf as the ones I know!

Who've you seen??
I come from yorkshire, and I know lots of quiet people. We just get rowdy when we're drunk, but doesn't everyone?

As are scousers, Cockneys and Geordies. And welsh people. And glaswegians. And everyone else! It's individuals who are loud.
