Please read my other question re the new shuffle, I have tried everything you would normally do the 5 r's apple suggests, uninstall reinstall etc. But nothing has worked since I updated the itunes for my second generation shuffle the clip on one that's suppose to be So great. i've wasted days. On this so it make sit hard to stop before solving this, Actually my computer has been acting EALLY werid/slow since i put in the new itunes/shuffle.

Maybe there is something I can do for my windows xp to get it to be recognized? something I need to uninstall, I don't have any other device connected. I disconnected my printer .... HELP me PLEASE

my usb port does work, my 1st shuffle connects via usb as well, so does my keyboard and printer.

Connect it and open itunes( get the new version if you can) Maybe your ipod is defective

Are you sure your USB port is working? Could be a faulty cable...have you tried connecting your IPOD to another comp?

try sticking a data stick into the USB drive, if it doesn't read it, it's your USB port, not the iPod.

go to itunes to update it. even worse, if there is no change, you will buy a mac if you want.

Put the dic in and over ride it.
