I believe it will open great opportunities for the Vietnamese and the rest of the world.

Vietnam has transformed from one of the poorest countries in the world to the second fastest growing economy since the start of Doi Moi (reform) in 1985. 85 million Vietnamese, which the majority were born after the Vietnam War, are getting good jobs, good pay and are wanting to buy stuff from everywhere in the world. Joining the WTO will make it easier and better for foreigners to conduct business with Vietnam.

Its good for them and their economy and for everyone else too.
The country is dirt poor and the effects of agent orange is still around so they can help the people affected by it.
