Here I am sitting down by my desk listing down all the pros & cons of living in each city taking into account the cost of living, infrastructure, crime rate, traffic jam, cleanliness, anything & everything that affect our daily life. And in the end I say to myself, given a choice, which city would I choose to live in?
What's your preference?

Singapore by far, food is really cheap, taxis are honest and work 24 hours, security is a must, the subway is better than the KL one, best airport and best airline in the world, ambulance response time is 4 minutes top island wide.

For a calm, quiet and peaceful life, Kuala Lumpur is the best as compared to Singapore

Well, it's a difficult question. I believe it's about the same good or same bad city to live in.

I love KL as it has more space and natural environment to sight-see and enjoy. While Singapore is more metropolitan (it's a typical western city just located in the east)

In terms of cleanliness, Singapore is sure better than KL.

But in terms of cost of living, KL is better than Singapore.

And I enjoy both cities the same, in terms of the cultural varieties, as I love the Singaporean, Malay & Indian food so much that leaving Singapore makes me always long for the chance to taste the food there again.

If you don't care about politics, Singapore and KL are the same to you. If you care about politics and its effect on your daily life, both cities are same to you too, that it will drive you away and wish you can live in other countries.

And the tensions between Singapore & KL always make me sad, as both are brother and sister cities, just have different bosses running the government.

Work in Singapore and make it your "base". Invest your excess cash in Malaysia. Take advantage of the higher time deposit and goverment bond rates of the Philippines.
