does the media have a curse behind the team they get behind???????

when the season first started everyone picked Carolina in the NFC and look what happened to them

next they jumped on the Bears bandwagon and Grossman started playing bad

then it was the giants, and look what it caused them problems inside the team and the media and the coachs and players blaming each other.

next they went to the Cowboys after romo seemed to have a few good weeks

dont forget about the jags, colts, and broncos in the afc too....all at one point were considered superbowl contenders during the season at one point in time...not just superbowl contenders but being the best team in the league.

right now its the saints and the bolts.......so watch out people who are fans of these teams, the curse might come after you next!!!!

That's a very clever observation. I thought it was more clever when they were talking about it on Sportscenter after the game though.

I am thinking the media did not predict that the Bears are going to have first round bye in the playoffs. The Bears are also will maintain home field throughout the season.

For Tony Romo, they did not expect him to play well.
For the Colts, they lost 3 games and the number 1 seed. Two years in a row, they were going for an undefeated streak, but it did not happen.

At this rate, San Diego is number 1 in the AFC. I did not expect the Chargers to play well this year. I was predicting that the Chargers would be a wild-card contenders.

I agree with you with the Saints, they were 3 - 13 last year. Now, they are 9-4, I did not expect the Saints to play well. With Reggie Bush and Drew Brees in team, the both helped the team to make it this far.

Good point. However, the Chargers have had a lot of media on them for a while now and are still 11-2, so I don't think any media hype will bring them down, especially not while they're riding on LaDainian Tomlinson and Phillip Rivers.

As for the Saints, I think they can hold their own too. They've just become increasingly better, and considering the talent pool on that team with Reggie Bush and Drew Brees on top, they should be more than okay riding into the postseason.
