I live in Germany and I think that with the exception of a few crazy neo nazis the majority of the country hates him and they are ashamed of that part of their history.

Oh...about like people in California look up to Bush... Probably...I'm generalizing, but I know I don't like either of them... Neither do many people I know...except for one super conservative guy at my work. He's nice, but he's dumb!!
