I'd say ur not ovulating when you're having sex. That could be it. there are some really good sites on here to find out when and how to tell when your ovulating.

You need to be having sex to get pregnant, not me!
Seriously though, getting pregnant is really difficult. There are a few things you can do to increase you chances:

1. Take your temperature when you wake up in the morning. It will rise when you ovulate (around the middle of your cycle) and will sta higher until your next period. Once released you egg is only viable for fertilisation for 12-24 hours.
2. Keep an eye on your mucus. It will become stretchy like egg white as you approach ovulation. Sperm can survive for up to 5 days in this most fertile mucus.

It is recommended that you have sex every other day for a week before you ovulate and then the day after. The rest of the time you are naturally infertile anyway.

Make sure you are taking prenatal vitamins too, and that you have a good marriage and home to raise your child in.

If you have an eating disorder or are an athlete you may have probelms getting pregnant.
Sometimes if one of you have diabetes your fertility is lowered.
Your partner may have been sterilized, either intentionally or unintentionally. guys get their tubes tied too. If they have had undiagnosed STD they could be infertile and not even know it. May still have the STD, so you may want to go to a docotor and get checked out not only for fertility but for an STD. There's several that would not cause symptoms for the man, but could cause sterility in women.
You could be having an imbalance in vitamins or nutrients that would affect your fertility.
The only way to figure it out would be to go to your Gyno and ask, giving her all your medical history and concerns. No one on the web is going to just know.
Hopefully you and your partner are trying to get pregnant, in which case, you both should see your own doctors and discuss possible problems. Most doctors will tell you to try for 6 months before worrying about it too much.

Perhaps having sex at the wrong time or one of you could be infertile.
Couple of tips, when you are coming close to ovulation (5 days or so) have sex every 2 days, coz every day can lower the sperm count. Have him on top and afterwards elevate your hips on a small pillow for about 15 minutes.
If you dont get pregnant in a while or have any concerns go to oyour doctor

Maybe you're not having sex at the right times of the month. Maybe you have fertility issues that you're just not aware of yet... or maybe your partner has fertility problems that he isn't aware of yet. The only way to be certain is to go to the doctor together to get checked. If you're planning a baby... why not?

It took my cousins two years to get pregnant, and they were trying. They don't have any fertility problems, it just took a long time. But, you and your partner should have your fertility checked if it takes more than a year of trying.

Maybe it's not time for you to become pregnant. Do you want to have a baby? If so then you need to try a different position when he come and don't get up right away.
