You should be worried about the sweetener and the caffiene. Certian kinds of artificial sweetener are not good for fetus' and too much caffiene can be a problem too. If you are drinking regular sodas, the sugar content is really high and can make you gain a lot of weight. The carbonation (fizziness) itself won't hurt your baby, but it may make you more bloated and gassy. I would suggest laying off of most sodas while you are pregnant. Mostly because they are full of chemicals and have no nutritional value. If you really have to have one, try to limit to one a day, and go with a diet, non-caffiene one. I felt like I was addicted to Mountain Dew for a while, but you really just have to force yourself out of it, cause there is nothing good for you in there.

you are being paranoid. the only thing in most carbonated beverages that's bad for an unborn child is caffiene. and even that, in moderation, won't do any harm. now... if hubby were to bring home, say, fizzy lifting drinks, there might be a problem, as an unborn child is unable to burp. (the burping is the only thing that gets you down after you start floating)

Maybe he will develop a sweet tooth faster than regular. Just guessing, but I don't think unnecessary sugars are good for the baby's development

Carbonated beverages aren't good for your bones. Don't know if they're same during pregnancy though... better ask your doctor.
