As I entered the bar, I saw her standing there. She was a long cool woman in a black dress, and I could tell she was cold as ice...heartless. I walked right up to her and said, "What's your name?". She told me her name was Layla. I said,"You look wonderful tonight". She just laughed and told the bartender, "This dude looks like a lady!".
I said, "Well, I'm a ramblin man...and a midnight rider, and you look like an evil woman, so I guess I'll be homeward bound". She said, "Yeah, get back honky cat before I have my 19th nervous breakdown."
After I left I figured that she must be one of those honky tonk women from the dark side of the moon just looking for money, a real black magic woman...born to be wild, and she doesnt even know she's just reelin in the years while trying to get her money for nothing.
Meanwhile, I went home and got comfortably numb.
