Does lightning affect a laptop not plugged to the mains BUT plugged to Starhubmodem?

Does lightning affect a laptop not plugged to the mains BUT plugged to Starhub cable modem and still surfing online?

Should I unplug both the mains and also the internet usb cable?
I want to still be able to surf online but if it affects the laptop/notebook, then I would rather NOT surf the net during lightnings.

ur cable modem still plug to the main right?

anything electrical stuff will be affect when there is lighting..

mabbe u go those diy shop buy those adapters to prevent short circuit from lighting
