There is no such thing as a "safe time" to have sex without risking a pregnancy. Invest in some form of birth control, or don't do it.

The safest days of unprotected sex r d first 6 days of ur bleeding. Yes u can hve sex in the course of bleeding. It would not damage u in anyway. Hope d following could aid u dear. If u can give feed back i m comfortable. Believe the first day of menses in a special month is 5. Add 14. U get 19. Establishing from 19 add & subtract 5 every. U get 23 and 15.So the interval from 15 to 23 will not be nontoxic. There's a a hundred% chance of getting pregnant during this interval. If u need 2 hinder pregnancy, don’t do penal sexual intercourse for the period of this interval until the female accomplice IS ON common pills. For the remainder period after the sixth day of menses until 14th, if 1 wishes 2 preclude being pregnant, as a precaution use condom, capsules. Cream and so forth. Though the possibilities of pregnancy are close to nil for the duration of this period. But it's assured that from the first day to the 6tth or seventh day 1 can b one hundred & nontoxic with none preventive measures. In the course of this interval 1 can properly revel in with none fear. In the above illustration it will be from 5th to tenth/11th. Consider, 1 can undoubtedly have intercourse for the duration of menses. There is not any damage. If the male accomplice is having any inhibitions he can use a condom for the primary three/four days. So far as the interval from 24 to 2 of next month is worried, it is comparatively riskless but will have to watch out when you consider that 1 are not able to exactly predict the following date with precision. However 1 could b positive of not getting pregnant for the duration of pre menstrual syndrome, due to the fact that it indicates that the date is already near. (The calculation may just / won't b correct within the case of these having irregular menstrual cycle)

I agree with the last poster...This is a good form of contraceptive, but you have to be willing to work at it and you need to abstain from sex for about a week out of every month, during the fertile time. The egg only lives for about 18-20 hours out of the month...add that to the few days that sperm may survive inside a woman's body (as many as 5, usually 2-3) and there you have it...I think most people are so clueless about how pregnancy and the fertility thing works...they need to get clued up, don't they?

The safest is to not have sex, the second is to have protected sex. There is NO specific "safe zone" as a women can get pregnant at any time. The ovulation cycle may or may not run concurrent with her menstrual cycle. If it does, then NOT having sex a week before, during, and a week after her menstrual cycle would be the safest, but the egg does not automatically die after or before these times, thus the reason a woman can get pregnant AT ANY TIME!

How ignorant people are!

Women are naturally infertile for about 2/3ds of their cycle. When exactly does vary slightly from woman to woman. You and your partner need to take Natural Family Planning classes to know for sure. NFP is 99% effective.

Basically a woman is infertile for the first 6 days of her cycle (day 1 being the first day of her period). The girl then needs to take her temperature every morning when she wakes us. It will rise when she ovulates (around the middle of her cycle). From 2-3 days after
her temperature rises a woman is infertile. The released egg is only viable for fertilisation for 12-24 hours.
Also she needs to keep an eye on her mucus. It will become stretchy like egg white as she approaches ovulation. Sperm can survive for up to 5 days in this most fertile mucus.

Contact the Couple to Couple League, all me friends and I use their method of NFP and none of us got pregnant until we wanted to!

most women concieve 14 days after there last period but many factor still apply.... thats rather or not shes on a 28 days cycle. how long the sperm lives inside of you which is normally 3 to 5 days..... really there is no safe way since theres no proff when you ovulate..... because everyone is different. In a perfect world, we would all ovulate on day 14. but some people ovulate on day 8, some on day 21.

It's really difficult to say. This is not a reliable method of birth control. Your date of ovulation can sometimes change from month to month. Some women have even conceived WHILE menstruating, believe it or not. So... there is no "safe" time to have unprotected sex and guarantee a pregnancy won't take place. It's like playing Russian roulette.
