greet jewish ppl with "shalom" Shalom is hebrew for peace but in America most Jews speak fluent English and poor Hebrew so its a pointless gesture

I usually greet everyone with a Korean greeting. I know many Jews and have never heard anyone greet them with shalom. I believe it would be pointless.

I've never greeted a Jewish person that way. Nor have I tried to greet an Arab with Asalaam Alaikum....or a Chinese person with Nay hou ma. I just usually say "hi." Guess it takes all kinds to make a world, though.

Someone could say "Bore da" to me...and I wouldn't understand it either. It's been like 4 generations since my family immigrated here from Wales!

There are Black and African Jews which incorporates the Ethiopian Jews. Jews have self belief sacred Jewish rituals ought to really be done by using Jews,non-Jews can participate in Jewish vacation journeys if in attendance of a Jewish vacation provider

I have never greeted a Jewish person that way. I don't greet ANYBODY that way, is how I know this. Other than that, I wouldn't be sure..because I do not look at somebody, try to determine their religious beliefs and THEN greet them. Who would do that? Why would I care if they were Jewish or Catholic or Hindu etc? Seriously? It is none of my business.
