The BBC and all it's radio & TV was owned b the British Government. I dont know what their situation is now but it may be government subsidy.

All the residents in Britain have to pay an annual 'licence fee' if they want to own a TV. The revenues from the licence fee (plus probably a government top-up) pays for all of the BBC's activities, including their website.

BBC is a state run broadcasting service means British Govt. owned.

BBC is known for impartiality. Though it promotes english language. They are best when we say "News".
