I forget which primate it was, but I saw a documentary once about some type of ape and the narrator commented that type of ape masturbated.

I think that Bonobos do. They could be the second most sex driven animal after man. Bonobos are no strangers to incense. I once saw a documentary on Bonobos, or Pygmy Chimpanzees. In it, the Bonobos were really getting it on, in the family and all around. There were even gay Bonobos. And like it's really trasitionary, like when you think about the evolution of chimpanzees and man, and how chimpanzees and man are of common descent, it really could have been a common ancestor that strarted the ball rolling.
