I coudn't play hitman 1 game?

Question

when I try to play play hitman 1 it appers error massage Direct 3D and swith the game on the desktop. I try to install direct x9 but still the problem is occoured. my computer spacesification is processor 3.2 GHZ, memory 256 VGA 96mb

Hitman 1 is very old and maybe unable to run on modern PCs for a few different reasons. I'm not sure of its specs. you may get some where by setting it to run in 98 or 95 compatibility mode (assuming your running windows XP) right click on the ".exe" file that you use to run the game then go to Compatibility and click run in windows 98/95 if that don't help try clicking the 256KB colour and or 640 x 480 Resolution.

I respect the resolution given by vl2150, but I must say
something about Windows XP compatibility mode. I have tried this feature on numerous occasions, on my old games, and most of the time, I have had major glitches. Such as Resolution Issues, such as major pixilation, sound distortion, or just no sound at all.
My monitor will turn off and restart, well, you get the picture.
Now, your probably thinking, "well your computers probably bugged" I know for a fact that my mates have had similar issues regarding Compatibility mode.
Search on the Internet for a patch, Specifically made for hitman 1, NOT Widows XP, and dowload that. Have you tried downloading a emulator? Google it. Opps, I mean Yahoo it.

I think I know what's the problem, you see, you probably don't have a video card that's good enough - the same message comes to me when I'm trying to play Hitman 4, but it is because of the video card - you'll have to buy a better one.
