I always like red or a combination of silver/red or red/black, you should let us know your age range and body shape so we can help you more. I like classy & conservative style enhanced with nice accesories. Personally dont like Santa claus, Xmas tree type of decoration on my outfit that day... kind of Old fashion.. but your choise..

If it is an office party you should wear something that reflects your professionalism that will not cause you later to feel embarrassed. At other parties, don't wear something overly revealing and in bad taste. Dress prettily but with dignity.

It depends, if it is a work party,go for something classy and black. If it's friend's party go for something fun. Try the Forever21 website ,they have a bunch of cute dresses for those type of events.
