Maybe the old neighbor hasn't been to the moon? The question might be why hasn't the new neighbor gone over and introduced him/herself. If you want to meet sounds like your going to have to do the meeting.

Because it's a lot more worthwhile and historical to go all the way to the moon than just to meet one's neighbor.

Because there wasn't any kind of social anxiety issue with going to the moon, as there was noone living there at the time.

the moon is irrelevant to meeting a new neighbour.. and plus maybe because no one lives in the moon..

There is one minor problem with meeting a new neighbor...
They might be a professional burglar, rapist, murderer, con artist, drug dealer, meth cook, escaped mental patient, child molester, politician, IRS Agent, even a lawyer...
Those are bad odds

it wasnt 'us' who landed on the moon - it was extraordinary men and women with years of space training.
individual people are very very different from each other due to their born personalities and their life experiences.
