I fear philosophy in itself is disrupting the bliss of ignorance...

Philosophy isn't disrupting the bliss of ignorance as much as it is confusing it. I think what we have are so many varying "philosophies" that the person who has yet to discover their own is bombarded in all directions by those that wish to be understood..... believed in...... favored if you will. Of course you become overwhelmed with so many thoughts... so many visions ... so many contradicting paths that your head feels so jumbled with thoughts and ideas that NOTHING can process clearly enough to even find a simple answer. Yes... you feel like you are going insane because knowing SO much makes you feel like you can do SO little. This is when we wish we just didn't know anything at all so that we would not become paralyzed with decision making.

So we shut down...... blend into the background and wait to see what will happen. Usually nothing. So we dip our big toe into the pool to test the waters ... we sit on the side showing others we want to jump in and join... but we don't want to be crowded by so many differing thoughts that swim through our souls. So we wait........ so that the sanity will remain.

Yeah it just comes with the territory. It you ponder on the more difficult parts of life, your sanity is threatened. But there are great reasons to walk the path of uncertainty at least part of the time.
However, if you feel that the pain of life is just to hard to bare, then look straight into the face of loving peope or spend time doing things you love to do.
However, the thinker, the troubled, the wounded are made to dwell on the dark side until they can manage finding relief within the problem.
But eventually you hope to take on both sides of life and somehow bring them together in a truth that you would not see or understand if you continue to insist on only happy things and beautiful things.
The fact is that some of the most beautiful things can also be the most painful.
There is definitely a paradox involved like child birth.
I see the paradox in the difference between belief and faith. Belief is at least in part an act of well, you might say, "positive thinking". (nothing wrong with this idea) But faith is a form of knowing.
They talk about the "leap of faith" which is like a metaphorical step off the edge of a cliff into the unknown. (Metaphorical) But actually it is a metaphorical step into the known.
Because of Faith, I think of the death of children as a reality I don't accept. I know that childern have as many chances to complete their life as they need. We all do.
I also know as a virtue of faith that all human beings will pull together as brothers and sisters as we become more human.
Yes, it is awesome, but faith makes it also true that we all make the journey together or none of us make the journey. But it is a daily journey of devotion.

I feel philosophy is just a way of trying to get us to think like others
some is great
but.....
I'd like to think for myself and make my own mistakes.
as for my sanity, it gets put through tests every minute of every day.

I think, therefor I am.
Well I thought I was a bird so I jumped out of a tree.
The truth will set you free.
The truth was, I wasn't a bird and I dropped like a stone.
Lucky my soul didn't get set free from my body.
But at least I don't think I'm a bird anymore.
Ignorance is bliss.
Works for me.

It is always being threatened by the monkey who lives in my closet. Tonight he is having a party with a hawaiian theme...

Yes, especially when you have to work with people who had lost their sanity long ago and look only for themself and their selfish desire.
