Ok well Im a 13 year old girl and like its weird cuz 2 days ago i was going...i feel like im having cramps or something? and then i said to my self that maybe i would be starting my period soon but i was like just joking and stuff and then now it actually happened! do most people know when they are about to have there 1st period? and also when i saw my underwear i was like dang did i take a huge shi* o wait...thats blood! lol its weird but i dont wanna start my period and how long will it be till my next one?

Some people know, especially if they experience cramps. The adverage cycle is about 28 days starting from the first day of a period to the next period, but your's could be longer or shorter and irregular at first. Just carry some pads or tampons around with you from now on just incase it comes. You can use a calender to mark down the dates when you have your period to determine how long your cycle is and if it is irregular or not. It's normal for your period to be irregular when you're a teenager so don't worry too much!

You're not weird honey, just well informed. Obviously you knew what to expect so concluded, quite correctly, that your period was on its way. Most women have a period approximately every 28 days but they can be very unpredictable at the beginning. 1 tip I learnt from bitter experience, always make sure you have sanitary pads in your bag or somewhere else available.
Not wanting to start them is normal too. My daughter was really not happy when she started hers, she thought it was most inconvenient and uncomfortable (which to be honest, it is) but she got use to it after a while. You will too. Remember that pretty much every woman in the world understands what you are going through. Though you may feel embarrassed and uncomfortable about it now, it's a perfectly normal bodily function and shows you are on your way to becoming a woman, congratulations.
The avatar, when I was doing mine it gave me the option to be male or female. I don't think it can be that hard to do, or I'd never have managed lol.

Hi hope your OK? I know it can be a big shock to find your first period but this is all part of growing up you are a young Women now! You will get your next period in-between 28-35days just think 1 period every month for 5-7 days.

I knew when I was gonna get mine for the first time. And trust me, I didn't want to start mine either! There is no real way to know when your next one will be. Some people are regular right off the bat, every 21-35 days, and some people are either irregular for the first couple of years or irregular for their entire life. I know people that got it like clockwork every month after their first, and I also know people that got it once and then didn't get it again for a year........
good luck, and remember that it is completely natural and serves a biological process.......so while it is messy and can be unpleasant, it is a sign that everything is ok!

Your next period should come next month about this time but since you just started, it's hard to predict.
Just make sure you carry pads with you for those times when it may sneak up on you.
When you're older, your period will regulate itself and you should be able to know exactly when it will come.
Until then, talk to your Mom or a female family member about everything to make sure you know what to expect.
