Ok, we've all heard that the Lion is the King of the jungle? How is that so? The Tiger's environment is more of a jungle compare to a Lion. The Lion hunts in packs, in the other hand, the Tiget hunt solo. Doesn't that make the Tiger the bettter beast, the King of the Jungle? Anyways, here is my question. If we should compare or have a competition between a Lion and a Tiger, who do you think would come out on top? Considering their special characteristics such as stregnth, stealth, etc,,, who would you vote as the real King of the Jungle?

Since the lion is used to hunt in groups he wouldn't have the same skills as the tiger because the tiger knows how to fight by himself, and the lion needs help of the pack.

the elephant, there is no animal in the jungle that can bring it down period, yet it can even make short work of a rhino, top that, not only that but both tigers and lions are afraid of adult giraffes because they can split their heads open with a single kick due to the hard surface on the giraffes hooves. BTW when male lions become the alfa male of the pride it doesnt hunt at all, all it does is sleep for 18 hours of the day and the rest he just eats and defends the pride from younger upcoming males.

I personally think the lion would win because of brute force. The tiger may be quicker and more agile but a single blow froma lion's paw can potentially break the spinal chord of Hyenas and lionesses. The tiger might be able to rough up the lion a lot because of its sheer speed but I think a couple of blows administered by the lion would easily decide the fight.
