A company is not obligated to give you anything (pay, bonuses, exit check, etc) if you leave the company. In fact, they are not obligated if they lay you off or fire you...

Some companies offer severance to employees that they layoff if they had been with the company for a number of years.

BTW, if you quit will not get unemployment as stated above. Only if you are told to leave by the company.

You need to go to your local umemployment office to sign up for umemployment compensation until you get a new job. If you don't have an idea of what you want to do they can help you find something. My State unemployment office helped me when I needed it.

all companies have different policies regarding this, if you resign all you entitled to is your accumulated leave pay, and you should give your required notice, but a company is not entitled to pay you anything, most companies however do pay a weeks pay for every year of employment but thats only their goodwill to do so, good luck

I am thinking a new job. Why do you feel that they owe you anything more than your pay and then if you happen to have any personal time/vacation that can be cashed out?
