It's not really long-awaited as I and most people quit waiting and moved on years ago. AND it's NOT guns n roses with only one egotistical member claiming to be. I love Axl Rose's talent in songwriting and singing but WILL NOT accept him alone (with studio musicians) as Guns n Roses. He was not the only talent and their songs wouldn't have been as they were without the real members of GnR. If Axl would just release a Solo Album, then I could respect him again and I would be the first to buy it. But I will not support what basically is a GnR cover band with the original singer still tagging along!

If you are referring to "Chinese Democracy", I doubt it will ever come. Axel Rose is the only really left in the band, and I don't think he can pull off an album without serious studio minded musicians. One interview I recall a few years ago a new member from the "New" Gunz said basically; That this album is being recorded developed "organically", so songs are always being reworked, so a dead line can't be set to an actual release date. Plus they got paid in advance for the album, so there's no real financial incentive to record.

Gilby and Izzy wrote all the good songs anyway, it would only be GnR if you had them in it, Slash on his axe (with Malboro in mouth), Axl Rose singing and Duff trying to keep up on bass.
