I dont know about this question:

Why does the audience keep interupting the play-within-the-play of act 5 ? Are they entirely contemptuous of what they are watching?

Anyone can help me please !

They are hecklers! They think that the actors are terribly unskilled and they think its funny to talk with the actors! They like having the "entertainment," and they think it is even funnier when they interrupt it. Contemptuous means "showing or expressing contempt or disdain, scornful." I think they are having more fun than being all negative and hateful about it.
