Interesting topic... I tried using my sideburn trimmer under my arms Sunday. The chafing was horrrrrrible! It was so bad, I couldn't even put on a close fitting shirt. It's Wednesday now, and it's almost all better. Lesson learned: don't trim with a sideburn trimmer ever!

Onto the topic though, based on what I just learned I'd never use a razor either! Stick with trimming. Just get a pair of scissors and cut it short when it gets long. Once a month ought to do.

And too all you people who say "it will grow back longer," think about it... seriously, think... we're talking about cutting it when it gets long, so the only way it will grow longer is if you don't shave. Maybe you meant faster, and I still deny that as true. And also, it doesn't grow back thicker... seriously... seriously, think... nowhere on your body does it do that. It's myth BUSTED!

So dude, trim with scissors. It'll work. Ladies will love you for it.

PS. Don't use a sideburn trimmer. I'm warning you. It will be bad.

Sure, as a man who does let me give you the pros and cons as I see it
pros- seems to be accepted by most women, some think it's gay, but I don't think they know the definition, theres no longer a black hole under your arms, the stench that comes with hair is gone, I wouldn't call it setting a trend, but it is gaining acceptance
Cons - it's a pain to keep it shaved, the public in general may give you a stare if they notice, but you get used to it

I would never shave mine, nor would I shave my legs as some males I know that do, especially if they have a good tan. Most all body builders shave their arm pits and their legs, and i would say most have a full length mirror in their bedroom, or in their bathroom. I once joined a fitness club, and paid a fortune but it was the wrong one. Never did I meet a "straight" guy..They wouldn't let me come on womens night...LOL.

That would be your choice.
I like the hair in a male's armpits. If you shave, you will only get more hair anyway.

I'd advise clipping it to 1/4 inch or so. Its a little less prepubescent, doesn't itch when it grows back, but it does drastically cut down on odour. You'll notice with your hair kept short, that '24 hour deodorent' actually works for 24 hours.

It's up to the man. But if you're thinking about it keep in mind it will grow back and itch.
