I am a Mechanical Engineering student in my 7th semester. I will be done with finals at noon on Friday. What should I do then.

Try doing something educational purely for the JOY of it. It's not required, you're not going to get credit for it, and there will be no grade given. I majored in English and at the end of finals each term I would find a good book I wanted to read just for myself. I was proving that the educational system didn't have total control of my mind, and that my education had not killed my essential love of literature.

sleep, wake up, eat a good meal - steak or whatever as a reward, take a couple of months, go on a vacation- do the hostel thing if $ is tight. if you have $, visit Europe- Spain is nice this time of year.
Whe nyou get back, a fat job will be waiting for you in the States.

Time to relax and get away from academia. Take a good friend and back pack through Europe and do it "on the cheap"' You will get a new slant on the world and perhaps discover what you really want to do with the rest of your life.
