i know i have what it takes and my life revolves around fishin. i realize that there are only about 150 guys in the whole wrold who make a living fishing but ever since i was about 10 years old i have done absolutely everything i could to become a professional. people tell me i need to have something to fall back on which i do but i also think that they think i wouldnt make it . what is your opinion

Sure you can. I'm sure others will say no, but if the pros would have listened to the people that thought they were crazy or aiming for something that was illogical, then they wouldn't have became pros. You will never know if you don't try it. If you don't try it, you could have a big case of the "what if's" later on in life.

yes it is logical. having something to fall back on is a good idea no matter what dream you are trying to achieve. if you are good at it and knowledgeable about it and that is really what you want to do, then go for it. you only live once so do what makes you happy.
