Of course potheads will be quick to say no, but please no bias. I know a lot of other myths of weed are fake, but this one really bothers me because im 19 and trying to grow a thick goatee, and I dont want anything hindering my facial hair growth, such as a lack of the very hormone I need to grow it. This is the only "myth" I think the government is actually right about, and I know a few buddies who said its actually true. I know when a guy is having sex high (which ive done before), he can last a long time like a woman. Maybe due to a decline in testoerone? Appreciate any responses.

First, most of the answers you get will be from people who really don't have a clue. If someone tells you something like "university of life" you can be sure they never read anything on the subject but the National Enquirer.

The short answer is that it has been shown to lower hormone levels in some cases, but that the difference was always within the normal range of levels. That is, you shouldn't expect to see any difference in your growth of facial hair. I can tell you that I know a number of pot smokers who have full, rich beards. You should not be worried about that.

If you want more information on marijuana, the best place to start is http://druglibrary.org/schaffer Among other things, it contains the full text of most of the major government commission reports over the last 100 years. You can bet that your buddies never read any of it, so don't take their advice.

Just FYI, you will also want to read the short history of the marijuana laws at http://druglibrary.org/schaffer/History/whiteb1.htm You and your buddies will get a lot of laughs out of that one.

It lowers testosterone and intelligence , though you need to be intelligence challenged to start smoking weed !!
Oh and it`s only my opinion of course but goatee beards look incredibly stupid !!

No I have never read The National Enquirer either Cliff ! I was simply giving my opinion based on a life time. Far better than quoting statistics like a parrot . Do you have any opinions of your own ?

Maybe you weren't meant to grow a goatee. Genetics will be more responsible for your lack of ability to grow a proper goatee. I say don't worry about it. Smoke a bowl and forget about it.
