No, because he's already had several BIG HITS, including 2 of the 3 you've mentioned. Signs, The Village, The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable ALL made bookoos of money. With 4 big hits like that, he'll never be a one-hit wonder. Maybe a passing phase though ;-)

I loved the sixth sense the most, liked unbreakable, loved signs and the village, and have yet to see Lady in the Water. I think all of his movies are good. They tend to start off a little slow but he gets you every time with some amazing twist in the end that you can rarely figure out.

i've liked his movies thus far. too many people thought sixth sense was phenomenal (and it was), but they're still waiting for him to make another sixth sense. and unfortunately for those kids, there isn't going to be another sixth sense.

i always thought m. night shyamalan as a great storyteller. he definitely knows how to move an audience with his films. hell, in signs, i flippin knew there were aliens going into the movie, and yet i still jumped when the aliens were first seen. he did built up the tension and the suspense quite nicely i though.

as far as the village, the terror wasn't necessarily supernatural. we all found out that the monster was nothing more than a village member in an elaborate. but i'll be damned if there wasn't anyone clenching to their seat and sucked into the terror right alongside the village members in the creatures entered the village. people were just pissed off to find out in the end that the danger wasn't genuine. they were fooled, and they became angry.

as far as the lady in the water, if you went into this movie thinking you were going to be scared, you weren't paying too much attention. it wasn't meant to scare you. it was a little contrived and hokey, but it the story was a fairytale. it was your good vs. evil, it was your finding your purpose sort of story. this movie was an instant fave for me and sibs. the story and visuals were just gorgeous.

so, i dont think m. night shyamalan is a one hit wonder, when everyone still goes to see his movies, whether they end up loving them or hating them. if people havent like anything from since sixth sense, don't go see any of his movies. it's a simple as that.

I thought that Signs and The Village were both pretty good. You have to try not to compare them to his other works, like Unbreakable, or The Sixth Sense.

Sixth sense is the only decent film he's done. Unfortunately i've seen them all and been greatly disappointed by what have been interesting premises for films but badly done.

I hope he's not. The Sixth Sense was amazing, but I'll admit, his later works didn't live up to that standard.

Not at all. I loved all his movies. Most were not what I expected, but I got a thrill none the less.
