Because Western countries have still not forgiven themselves for the way THEY treated Jews back then! If anyone starts to discuss things properly, it might be mentioned that in (virtually) the entire 'civilised' world Jews were treated with contempt, and a crime against a Jew was of no interest to the law enforcement agencies. It might also be mentioned that many 'civilised' countries thought it was a good idea of the Germans to round up Jews and prevent them from earning money that "might otherwise be earned by decent [insert nationality of country concerned here] people." UNTIL they realised what the nazis had actually been doing to the Jews! That was only discovered at the end of the war, and was a total shock, and a real wake up call to the entire world. Unfortunately, the original lesson of never victimising any people for reason of race, religion, sex, etc. (unless they're communists - in which case you can do whatever the hell you like,) has been forgotten - now the 'civilised' countries only remember the part of the lesson that involves Jews. "Never victimise any Jews." This is very useful for the Jews, but not much use for all the other people in the world who are being victimised, harrassed, tortured, massacred, invaded, etc. THAT is why you're not allowed to question the severity and outrageousness of the Nazis' actions.

Not to diminish the meaning of the Holocaust to the Jewish folks but others were annihilated as well. Some of these include gypsies, trade unionist, those mentally and physically ill. The Holocaust was against everyone. We all should say "never again". Genocide unfortunately is a much too common thing.

Well think about losing 6,000,000 of your family and friends.

Think of you family tree not having a trunk.

Think of not knowing any family beyond your grandmother cause they are all DEAD!

Think about how some LOSER with a god complex could tell a lie often enough to do this for years without anyone knowing or caring.

6 million is just the Jews, there is another 4,000,000 Christians, Gypsies, Handicapped, Retarded, Russian, Blacks and homosexuals on that list.

Let's see....six million of their people annihilated good enough a reason?

It's like slavery to black people, colonization of America to Indians, or the Potato Famine for the Irish. Something really, really depressing to blame on the English.
