Well that depends. The worst thing that can happen is infection. But some women have stopped bleeding entirely by four weeks postpartum, especially the c-section deliveries. That means the cervix is now closed, and if all other lacerations and cuts have healed, that makes the risk of infection no more than it would be usually.
So yes, usually by 4 weeks postpartum, most women IF they have stopped bleeding entirely are ok to have a nice mellow version of straight sexual intercourse. Of course, you have to use birth control, and it may not be that comfortable if you had a tear or episiotomy, in fact it may be very uncomfortable.
You will not be the first to have already had sex by your 6 wk check, believe me I hear that quite a bit. However, it's generally not because the woman really wants to, it's generally to please the husband.

all of us is waiting for intercourse at a distinctive time frames. the main important concern that should upward push up may well be an infection- yet once you do not have indicators yet (soreness, fever, and so on...) you're in all likelihood super. the main important element after an infection is the convenience point. And as you mentioned, you have been completely tender- you probably did not have stitches- so each thing sounds purely super. 6 weeks is the final advice they provide because of the fact at that element physique, all of us could be healed- rather elementary to apply that because of the fact the pass forward. For me- we waited until after the 6 week verify up, yet I additionally had stitches and PP hemoragging 10 days when I gave start and had to have a D + C. Plus, i became into very sore and it took fairly awhile to experience tender returned- rather, you do not have something to rigidity approximately!!

You could get pregnant again. You are most fertile the 6 weeks after delivery, thats why the doctors say not to have sex because your uterus is already back to the right size, so there wouldnt be any other reason not to have sex, unless you had an episitomy

They won't prescribe birth control before the 6 week check up, so you could get pregnant. Also, I would worry about infection. You need to give the uterus time to fully close.

Well... one of my friends found out at her checkup that she was pregnant again.
I had a c-section and I felt like I was up to having sex just 2 weeks afterwards. I started bleeding heavily and had to go to the dr and be put on methergen to help my uterus contract back to size. It was worse than the pain from my c-section. I regret doing it.

There's a pretty good chance you'd end up pregnant. You just gave birth, things will take awhile to heal. I'd wait the 6 weeks.

My grandmother found out she was pregnant again at her 6 week postpartum checkup. I think that's probably the worst.

The man needs to understand it's serious and not enjoyable for the woman. Tell him to masterbate and give you extra time. The last thing on her mind is sex for many months.
