Why is the PS3 a lot cheaper on Ebay now?

They are only $700-$1000. They were a lot more before. I would think they would be going up right before Christmas, since their are non in stock right now? If you have a PS3, did you feel that it was worth $3,000-10,000 grand, when people were selling it for that much?

1. The hype has died down. People did like crazy because they just wanted to say they got one on launch.

2. There are more PS3 available now since Sony shipped more in.

3. Bad publicity regarding PS3 not playing in HD or PS3 having bugs, so less people are willing to bid on a system that might not work.

4. Lack of good games, so consumers aren't rushing in to overpaid for a few games to play.

5. Too many people putting their PS3 on Ebay, which in turn creates competition, so bids are lower. If there are only 500 PS3 to bid on, bids would be higher, but since there are thousands to bid on, bids are going to be lower.

Alot of ppl bought the PS3 so they can sell it

some ppl made thousands on eBay and others wanted to but it hasn't worked out because no ones buying the PS3s that are in the thousands

so now you can find a PS3 for about $700 on eBay

The hype has died down. People wanted one right when it was released and got one then in case they sold out on Ebay to soon. I dont have one or want one. I dont think i would pay over $1000 for one because i dont have that kind of money to spend. I i had millions of dollars I might have paid $1000-$3000 for one.

Sony is starting to meet the demand. Come 12/26 they are unlikely to be worth a dime more than their list price.
