Got my BA in psyc and am now working on a master's in counseling psychology. I plan to go on to get my doctorate immediately after this. Not sure if I'd like to teach or do practice, or a combination of both yet.

Right now I am a Poli Sci, Philosophy double major. But for a time I was debating with Psychology.
What I was interested in, however, was grad school. Doing research in current understanding of psychology is for more fascinating than being a psychiatrist.
With just an undergraduate degree in psychology you can't do much more than guidance counselor type work. To be a psychologist or psychiatrist you must get a Ph.D

No, in case you'll visit the military, then go Officer. you are able to somewhat positioned your degree to apply. the military can somewhat help pay so that you'll head to Med college or get your PhD so that you'll change right into a psychiatrist contained in the military. in case you dont favor to bypass military, you are able to attempt to get your Masters or PhD in Psychology and artwork contained in the civilian international. it truly isn't any the position close to a ineffective degree. the reason you want to bypass Officer is because you should use your degree for rank and pay grade. it truly is going to positioned you at a more effective rank and better pay grade. Plus in case you go enlisted, when you consider that officer and enlisted can't fraternize, which ability we can't get to this aspect contained in the destiny :-p lol

Take a break; consider a degree in science. I took a BA in psychology over thirty years ago and realized as soon as I received my degree that I had attained nothing. After a short hiatus, I returned to school and took degrees in zoology, becoming a ethologist and really learning about behavior, albeit, canid behavior. I feel more fulfilled with studies in dog behavior, from a scientific perspective, than I even intimated approaching in social science studies. Consider science; we have too many social scientists as is.

I am currently working on a minor in psychology as a sophomore. I'm hoping that the understanding I gain of human behavior will supplement my degree in marketing.

I'll be taking a general class next semester.
I've heard alot of Psychology majors go into the IT field...and most CS majors end up in a warehouse, lol.
