Someone keeps running my mailbox over with their truck, so i took a big pipe filled it with cement and covered it with a very thin sheet of look alike wood covering for table tops. So next time he hits it BOOM!

No, it's not Illegal in the slightest. It's his fault that he hits the mailbox, and the feral offense against him if he destroys it. Double whammy? nail him on the legal end when he stops to inspect the damage. call a cop to report an accident and an attempted federal offense.

Section of railroad track covered with veneer works better... NOT illegal, as long as the box is the right height and setback from the road. You can also try mounting it on the barrel of the gun on a war surplus M-60 tank.... that sometimes works too.

As long as it complies with the building code of your tow or city it would not be illegal--funny but not against the law. In fact you can probably have this person arrested for destruction of government property.

Well, destruction of mail boxes is a federal offense, and I personaly think that it's a damn good way to teach that fool a lesson. Good thinking man! As for illeagal, I think not.

buddy he is hitting you mailbox so he started all this...do what you have to do to keep your stuff away from strangers...next time he bangs ur mailbox..convict him ..for the previous..if you ask me keep a video camera for the complete action..and proof..
