They want to see how much money they can make from this game before possibly purchasing it. I don't trust that, but I also don't know how to charge them for the trial period. Any suggestions would be helpful.

If they are interested, don't sell them the game. Only lease it with an upfront agreement on "take" or franchise the game.

A good example of this is "Three card stud".

You need the help of an attorney/agent with experience in this very competitive field. Do all your intellectual protection first.

If it is an interesting game with odds, the play will make it a winner.
