I have the website http://www.wsforums.com and was wondering what i can do to help improve SEO in google and yahoo?

Seriously, getting lots of backlinks from authority sites (such as Yahoo Answers) will do wonders for you. I suggest you try finding other forums, blogs, etc. that will allow you to announce your site (within their guidelines - no spamming) and go from there.
Also, try posting in forums and blogs where you have some knowledge of the subject matter and include a link to your site in your signature at the bottom of your knowlegeable post.

With a dynamic site with so much robust content, dublicate content are going to be an issue for you.
one suggestion is to force cookie use, or alternatively identify when spiders are crawling your site and strip the session id's.
This a simple, yet very advantageous practice to observe.

Build links for other sites to yours! I use an EZ program that finds good sites, send out an email invite to trade links and even builds the link pages.
Once you have other sites pointing at your site, rankings zoom up! I know, I did it and my Adsense income runs about $25 per day!
It takes time! But, it really works!
