Would it do any good if I filed a police report or would it just be more of a scare tactic? What would you do? I have the serial number, anyone know how I can stop someone, or figure out who might use it on iTunes or something?

if you know who might have stolen it, go to the police and report it. Contact Apple as well, and find out what you can do...

I'd say you are screwed. Stolen iPods are a common thing and tough to track down specific ones when everybody has them.
Was this at school or what? I'd file a police report. It wouldn't hurt.

Wow, you've been stupid for stealing, even with the undeniable fact that the best information is you at the moment have a good lawsuit adversarial to the guy who beat you. visit the police station fill out the record and function him arrested. in case you haven't achieved so yet visit the wellbeing center and function them seem at your bruises--take images of your injuries. you are able to't sue him for no longer in problem-free words clinical expenditures yet for soreness and suffering. the courtroom continually seems at attack worst than stealing. also make your witnesses provide signed confession and function then notarized

If the girl took it like you say then check the serial # and get your iPod back

Apple does not have a replacement policy... So if you lose your iPod, the new owner is who found it.
BUT, if you have proof that the seriel number you have is YOURS then the police can check the item in question...

Call the cops if you know who took it. Apple should be able to stop them from downloading anything from the iTunes site at least.

you could probably go to a police, but it would be a good way to scare her. i would probably get a bunch of my guy friends and my older brother and his friends and go anocking at her house. my brother did that before lol.
if its registered you might be able to get i back too, but like, you have to use your credit card to get songs on itunes i think

if anyone you don't know stole it.. its gone, file a police report, and if it is that girl, she'll probably freak...
but chances are its in a pawn shop somewhere with its serial # scraped off
