I need some sort of database that i can keep a good record of all of my books and movies, that is also searchable (is that a word?). So that I could put in an actors name and see all the movies i have that that person stars in that i own. Or i could put in a book series and see all the ones i have of that series. Is there a place i could get something like that for little or nothing?

as a software on of good packages could be Microsoft Works .
it could help you at lot's of things ,and it's easy to learn .
or search at www.download.com for film list or book list to find some software for this ;)

You can make your own in Microsoft Access, or Excel for free and in a few hours time. It's not that hard, but if you're willing to pay me, I'll make one for you.

It would be complicated, but you could make your own in Excel. I don't think they have those ready-made anywhere...
