ouch..sorry to hear about your foot..i would have been embarressed also..even though you were off work you were still part of the office personnel..i would wait intil your feeling really good with your foot and that your not having any more problems, and then i would look for another job..but let your former employer pay for your therapy and whatever else your care will need..and if your not at fault for falling down the stairs, like if they were wet, i would seek legal help..you might have a case

I understand your hurt.

Your employer may be trying to get you to leave on your own in order to nullify your benefits.

Don't make decisions while you are emotional.

Find out how quitting would affect your workmans comp first.

Also, never quit a job without having one lined up; unless you can afford a few weeks off.

If you have been off for at least 2 months, if I'm reading this right, I don't think you would be entitled to a bonus in my opinion. Bit I myself would have talked to you prior to giving out the bonus's , and explained this to you.

I guess mgt. was not pleased. That's really up to you. Can you afford to? How embarrassing was it? What does your lawyer think of this and will he work and demand payment only if he wins or can you afford this? This might not be worth fighting. even so I am no attorney get legal advice.

Wow. That's not cool. You should go talk to HR about that because it's discrimination. Don't quit before you have another solid job to go to. Good luck.

I would stay there and get all the worker's comp that you can, find a new job and then hit that road.

them giving everyone a bonus excluding you is actually not legal. its an expected bonus, an expected part of pay. they can not descriminate against you for being injured. what state do you live in?

I wouldn't quit until after I had fully recovered and had secured a new job.
