Could someone please explain to me what all it does?! I'm trying to find the best deal for my 10 yr old neice for Christmas.

It's difficult to answer that question for you, as I cannot find any reviews on that particular model. However, from my own personal experience, low-priced, off-brand DVD players are pretty much a mixed bag. Most(if not all) of them are mass-manufactured in China. I myself have owned several budget brands of DVD players during the last two years, and have actually found them to be an excellent deal. They often have the same features as name-brand machines, and the picture quality
is often excellent. the main thing to consider is how long they might last before breaking down. They generally can't be repaired in the U.S., because the parts aren't available. I was actually considering buying this particular make and model (even though I have another budget machine that still works fine after a year. In conclusion, you are taking a chance. The best thing to do is check out the machine in person. If it looks and feels flimsy, it may well be. The most important thing is the warranty period.
