How about a landlord who first sells the house out from under you, then literally picks the house up and moves it out from under you. Then turns you previous property into a shopping plaza.
How's that for a landlord story?

But this is nothing compared to the real Hell of the Bible.

Lonnie Jump refused to give back a dime of my deposits. He has done this to several other renters. When I met him at the apartment, he verbally abused me and threatened me. I wish I would have called the police. He has a huge gambling problem and I'm sure he sees renters as easy money. I feel like a sucker because I used to do the landscaping on the property for him and didn't ask for anything in return, just wanted the place to be attractive. I suppose small claims court is the way to go, but he was pretty dangerous.

Before buying a house, I lived in a succession of apartments. Sorry to say, I always got along well with landlords.

The Vietnamese guy smoked. of direction, my lease replaced into purely $350 a month. My 2d house, in Albany Park, has a super cochroach house. it incredibly is a studio and $475 a month. The bathe does not artwork. Homeless human beings is available in, and have often taken a unload on the stairways or contained in the trashcan by using the laundry contained in the basement hallway. A homeless individual has additionally thrown a rock and shattered a hallway window. The locks of the doorways are often broken. the owner, whom is an attorney, refuses to get the homeless prosecuted, even after a million of them stole my motorbike. we frequently have homeless human beings dozing in our apartments. we've crooks allowing them to in. the 1st house is 6443 N. Seeley (~2050 West), and the 2d house, the place I stay now, is 3112 or 3114 W. Montrose. Neither of the apartments I lived in, had the landlords given me the foremost to the mailbox, and that i take advantage of my Dad's handle as my mailing handle. We even have problems with an analogous undesirable acquaintances that thieve our mail and our clothing collectively as others do laundry. the owner attorney refuses to do something approximately it. The Chicago Police branch knows plenty approximately our homeless issues, and a super type of times refuse to arrest them.
