I was raised with the standard of waiting until the age of 16 before dating. I agree with this age. Most 16-year-olds are more mature with handling dating than younger teens.

I think the earliest people should think about dating is thirteen. I really think you shouldn't start until 15 and maybe mature 14 year olds. I know a couple people who aren't even allowed to date until 16 or 17. I just think that if you are fairly mature and the guy you want to date is also fairly mature, go for it. Just make sure that when you date you don't just date for physical attractions.

For me - someone older or younger works - people my age generally don't.
I prefer someone younger.
I used to have a rule - the age limits were:
Younger than me - half my age
Older than me - twice my age.
Ideal - the average of my age and Younger or average of my age and Older.
But hell - I'll date anyone interesting.

I think it is conditional on the old saying - "Ãf she is old enough to bleed then she is old enough to breed" so Puberty is the big decider on when a girl should start dating.

After you graduate high school. Too many girls ( and boys) have only one thing on their mind. Today's youth is dumb enough, already. Learn something, first, then date!
